NEW MANCHESTER BAND BOOSTERS WILL BE RAISING FUNDS FOR
OUR TRAVEL EXPENSES TO CHICAGO AND REQUEST YOUR PRESENCE
AT OUR SPONSORSHIP RALLY EVENT.
THE EVENT WILL INCLUDE A SHOWCASE FROM THE BAND,
TESTIMONIALS, AND A DONATION DRIVE.
The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County is delighted to announce the 26th Annual Chili Cook Off competition in downtown Douglasville on Saturday, October 22nd from 6-9 p.m. This fun-filled fundraising event will be held in conjunction with the Rogue Runners Moonlight Run. All proceeds will benefit the CAC and its programs throughout the year.
Join us for the Children’s Halloween Costume Contest portion of the evening. We can’t let the kids have all the fun, join the adult costume contest.

The Cultural Arts Council of Douglasville/Douglas County presents its annual Gala and Auction themed, Mosaic: Around the World on Saturday, November 19th at the Douglasville Conference Center starting at 6 pm. “The night of Gala is the night for the Arts Council to celebrate its accomplishments in the past year and to raise needed funds for the upcoming year,”. The activities will include an elegant meal catered by proof of the pudding featuring food from around the world, silent auction, dancing, live cultural performances. and more.

The mission of the Cultural Arts Council Douglasville/Douglas County (CAC) has always been to nurture, guide, and stimulate participation in the arts in the community. On November 29th, help the CAC give the gift of Arts Education to the youth of Douglasville and Douglas County. This Giving Tuesday the CAC is raising money to help fund Art Education Initiatives around Douglas County. These programs positively impact the lives of young people by teaching creativity, problem-solving, and cognitive ability. While at the same time providing a platform for self-expression and discovery. Donate to the CAC’s Giving Tuesday campaign, and help the CAC bridge the gap!

New Manchester High School Mighty Marching Jaguars will be hosting Spirit Night at Sparkles! All students and parents are welcome! Don’t forget to mention it at the front desk!
The 2023 Bicycle Ride sponsored by the Douglasville Police Department is happening on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. at the Douglasville Police Department, 2083 Fairburn Road, Douglasville, GA. 30135. The registration fee is $25.00 and includes a t-shirt. Registration deadline is March 13. Registrants after March 13 may not receive a t-shirt/correct size due to availability, so get registered beforehand. Check-in time is 7:00 a.m. and the ride will depart promptly at 8:00 a.m.
This is a rain or shine event, so no refunds. AGES 18 & UP – 30+ MILES – FREE T-SHIRT
After the ride is over, stay for our Annual Spring Festival & Safety Expo
Beginning April 14, 6:00 pm: Youth Spring League Basketball with Douglasville Police Department
Registration opens February 1 and goes through March 23
Douglasville Police Department and Douglasville Parks and Recreation are teaming together to host an 8-week Youth Basketball Spring League at the Alice J. Hawthorne gymnasium every Friday starting April 14 – June 2. Games will begin at 6 PM. Teams will be coed for ages 12-17.
This league is FREE of charge. Evaluations will be on March 24 at 6:00 pm.
Spots are limited to a maximum of 48 players, and jerseys will be given to each participant.
